Removing inappropriate 1980s alterations completed by a previous owner, Hsu McCullough used repurposed rustic lumber, vintage steel windows and architectural salvage such as vintage wood doors, hardware and laundry sink to transform this existing 1930's Spanish Colonial house. An orgy of wood throughout, fearlessly mixed varieties (six in total) as well as adding private outdoor living spaces such as raised wood decks and a board-formed concrete fire pit. In 2015, this project was a featured Los Angeles Times Home of the Day.
